text-indent:-9999px;ではAndroid2.系の文字を飛ばすことができない件です。

100%に変えてあげるといいようです。それにレンダリング負荷も減るとかで。
white-space:nowrap;とoverflow:hidden;もつけないとうまくいかないです。
